PEACE IN OUR HEARTS PEACE IN THE WORLD
The less you carry, the farther you go. So let go!
There is a Buddhist lesson that clearly explains how we create our own suffering
by holding on. If an arrow enters your body, it hurts. If another arrow enters
the same spot, it hurts tenfold.
When someone insults us, or is angry with us, or treats us in a way that is disrespectful,
it hurts us. This is the first arrow. When we cannot let it go, when we go over
and over it in our minds, that is the second arrow. The pain is magnified, and this
time we are doing it to ourselves.
Today I pray that I can let go of all that I am holding on to
that is causing me suffering and blocking me from peace.
